🐚 Finding the Perfect Shell
Hermit crabs love having options! We recommend offering 3–5 shells slightly larger than their current shell so they can find their perfect fit.
📏 Important Sizing Information
All shell sizes are measured at the outer edge of the opening, not deeper inside the shell. Shells naturally vary in shape and overall dimensions, even when their opening measurements are the same.
Round and oval openings fit differently! Oval openings generally need a larger width measurement than round openings to accommodate a similarly sized hermit crab.
